Twin Souls

It was magic when we walked

Every step shadowing mine

As if twinned long ago

When the stars were new

And shone only for us

Give me your hand once more

And let me gaze at my heart in your eyes

So I know you still own it

And you can look at your soul

That I keep in a little box

That I wear around my neck

Then go tread your sacred path

The silver cord always there

To call us back

Sometime somewhere.
